Fundraising and Gift Sale:
Date: Saturday, October 26th, 2019
Time: 8:30am – 12:30pm
Place: JIS Parking Lot
This is one of our fundraising events. Donations will be used for administration of the school. If you have anything to donate such as household items, books (especially anime and small children’s books!), DVDs, CDs, even clothing, please bring them to school (remember, these items are for donation only). Please make sure you put price tags on each item and give them to your child’s classroom teacher. We will start accepting items on October 5th and continue through the 26th.
On the day of the sale, please send some money with your child, about 10 ~ 15 dollars worth of quarters preferable. We will have a lot of children’s items such as stationary, books, toys etc. Note: we plan to sell cold drinks during the sale and are asking for donations such as coffee, tea, Hawaiian Punch, lemonade, soft drinks, et cetera.
We are forming a committee to help organize this sale. Please let us know if you can help with the committee or during the sales. Thank you in advance for your support.
Halloween Costume Event:
Date: Saturday, October 26th, 2019
Time: 11:45am – 12:30pm
Place: JIS Auditorium
We will take class photos with students dressed in their costumes. Please encourage students to wear their costumes, especially older students. Let’s make another fun memory!!

As you see from the above, we are having our Somen Sale a week from Saturday, September 28th. Servings come in two sizes, the large size costs $5.00 each and the small size sells for $3.00 each.
We always need volunteers for the above events, so if you can help us, please let your child’s teacher know when you are available to help.
Open Classes & Individual Meetings With Your Child’s Teacher:
We will open classes during the second and third periods (9:55 to 10:40 am and 10:50 to 11:35 am) on October 12th, 2019. After the open classes, we will conduct individual parent/teacher meetings in your child’s classroom during the 4th period (11:45 am to 12:30 pm) on October 12th and 19th.
It will a great opportunity for you to see the classroom environment while your child is studying and we are expecting many parents to attend.
Information regarding the times of individual meetings will be posted by the end of this month, September, 2019.
